The Wabash County courthouse sits on the side of a hill. Since Northern Indiana is so flat, this was a little unexpected. The North side is at street level while the southern side has a steep staircase leading from the street. We arrived in Wabash at around 2:00 in the afternoon on a Sunday and had a difficult time finding a downtown eatery open for lunch. Azteca was the only option but we were not disappointed. Curtis had a tamale and chili rellano and I had a fajita quesadilla. Everything was very good. Our server left the building about halfway through our meal (we saw him walking down the sidewalk as we looked through the window) but another picked up right where he left off.
north side of the courthouse This is the cornerstone on the Wabash County Courthouse. A Google search of Hanna Lodge No 61 brings up the Facebook page for the Wabash chapter of the Freemasons. Here is a link to their page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hanna-Lodge-61-FAM/100315153384614 I am expecting to see Superman at any time. The Wabash courthouse is probably the only one in northern Indiana that is on the side of a hill. This is the south side of the courthouse. I think the 4 lights on top of the clock tower are the ones referred to on the sign above. This is to the West of the courthouse. It is the Justice Center. This is the place for 24 hour bail bonds. Lets hope we don't need it!
