My chauffeur waits patiently, with Black Betty, while I snap photos in Huntington, IN.
The cornerstone for the Huntington County Courthouse was just a bit difficult to read. Something has filled in the letters (maybe dirt?). Since the cornerstone has been in place since 1903, 110 years, maybe it deserves a little TLC rather than a good cleaning.
Railroad tracks run a few yards south of the courthouse. While we were there a train came through. We were amazed at how fast this train sped through the middle of town.
I thought this war memorial plaque, on the side of the courthouse, was very interesting. It refers to "The" World War. I assume it refers to WWI. I hadn't considered it before but, at the time, they had no way of foreseeing there would be a number 2.

Hmmmmm, Flint Springs. What do you think, should Huntington change its name?
